Flower tattoo designs are almost predominately a female tattoo, though there are more and more men getting them. Their colorful and sometimes delicate appearance lends to their appeal by females. The majority of people choose to select flower tattoo designs according to the meaning of certain flowers. Therefore, it’s not a waste of time to do some research before committing to one specific design. The rose is one of the most popular of the flower tattoos. It symbolizes a pure heart and sometimes the sanctity of love. The sunflower, also a popular choice, symbolizes beauty. As you can see, each flower is not only different in appearance, but in symbolization as well. The majority of men who do choose flower tattoo designs will often accompany it with a name or other symbol, which is most commonly placed on the arm. An example may be a rose with the name of his spouse or mate. And there are also a huge amount of flower tattoo designs available, as you can see from the picture. No matter your disposition, your personal style or what you want the flower tattoo design to symbolize then you can be sure that there is a design made just for you.

butterfly design tattoo
What would you say is the most common place on the human body to apply tattoo ink? Is it the chest, back or legs? No, the most popular place for body art, since the invention of tattooing, is on the arm. And if you look at the arm tattoo in the picture you can clearly see why. The natural toning of the arm’s muscles not only underscores the depth of most designs but also adds an element of movement to it. See, when you have an arm tattoo that is properly inked, the design will move every time you move your arm. The natural flexing of this part of the body causes the arm tattoo to look like it’s moving. Take the arm tattoo in the picture, for example. It’s a great design of a fairy with huge butterfly wings. Every time the guy’s arm tattoo moves then the wings on the fairy appear to move, as if the fairy was flying. So, you can see why the arm tattoo has always been and will always be on of the most popular places for body ink. And while I’m talking about this particular design let me make one last observation. I thought that it was a really unique decision for the guy to get an arm tattoo of a fairy. It’s usually a design reserved for women but it does look quite good on him.
Tribal dragon tattoo
Here is a tribal dragon tattoo sample that shows two versions of the identical dragon as it faces off with itself. I suppose you could get something like this on each arm and it would look pretty cool, but you’d have to be a person who really likes the tribal dragon tattoo if you’re going to have two of them on you. I like dragon tattoos a lot but am not sure I would want to of them that are the same. And perhaps that is not the point of this image. Maybe the point of this image is to simply show prospective tattoo getters what this dragon looks like, looking both directions. Just so people could imagine it on one side of their body or the other. That would seem to be the logical reason for it.
One thing I have learned about tattoos and those who get them is that logic rarely comes into the equation. People have a tendency to choose their tattoos more on emotion than anything else. That may sound like a mistake but in the end it works out pretty well. A person sees something they like and they get it, usually based on nothing more than a whim. But that’s cool. If you see this tribal dragon tattoo and you like then get it, if that’s what makes you happy.

Tribal dragon tattoo are starting to become an increasingly popular design choice especially among young males. The more common tribal dragon tattoos are of the eastern, the western and the imperial dragons. The meaning of an eastern dragon is the nicest of all, they represent kindheartedness, good fortune and they are believed to be a protector. While the meaning of a western dragon is quite the opposite, being seen as an evil, greedy, fire breathing creature. Neither the western nor the eastern dragon have wings, the only one believed to have had wings is the imperial dragon. Tribal dragons tattoos represent mythical creatures that can have many different meanings, depending on which dragon you decide for your tattoo. Being a mythical creature gives the tattoo artists a wide range to work with when designing your tattoo and it also gives people the opportunity to have a unique tattoo, increasing their popularity dramatically. A tribal dragon tattoo is very often associated with strength and power, which has made it very dominant in the art of tribal tattoos. And the tribal dragon tattoo can be made even more impressive by the addition of traditional Japanese, Chinese or Celtic elements. Why not try combining one with a Celtic knot design, for example?
arm tribal design tattoo
Kick ass tattoo in my opinion. I really like this one, its got great design and the colors match almost perfectly. Blue and Red, you can never go wrong with that combination when it comes to arm tribal tattoos. The edges seem razor sharp and the points are right on the money. Great tattoo, the only thing I would have done a little different is bring the lowest tip to the very back of the elbow. But all in all I really like this hot tattoo. I wonder if he has another one on his other arm, that would be cool if he did and it was reversed in colors.
That’s what I really like about arm tribal tattoos, you can reverse them, especially if the tattoos are right next to each other, and it looks amazing as hell. I have seen quite a few using this design lately with a face in the background, kind of like a watermark. Makes the face seem like its looking out at you from a distant fog. If you have seen any cartoons on the television lately you will notice a lot of designs just like this are being used, and the kids love it big time.

maori design tattoo
Maori tattoo is a Polynesian art form from the Maori people of New Zealand. Maori tattoos are distinguished by the use of bold lines and the repetition of specific design motifs. A traditional Maori tattoo artist, the tohunga ta moko, could produce two different types of pattern. One that was based on a pigmented line, and another, the puhoro, based on darkening the background and leaving the pattern unpigmented as clear skin. Maori tattoos are essentially curve linear, and the mainstay of Maori designs are based on the spiral. Instead of needles, the Maori people used knives and chisels called Uhi and they were either smooth or serrated. The ink was applied by means of incisions. The Uhi was usually made from an albatross bone. The ink used for Maori Tattoos was usually made from burnt wood or from a caterpillar like organism. The Maori tattoo consists of bold spiral designs covering the face, the buttocks and the legs of the Maori men. Maori women were usually tattooed on the lips and chin and in some cases on the neck and the back. Maori had a sacred significance that had a dual purpose. One, the tattoo itself and two, the painful tattooing process itself.
Maori tattoos are very beautiful, consisting of curved shapes and spirals in intricate patterns. Distinctive for Maori tattoo designs is the fact that they are based on the spiral and that they are curvilinear. The most prevalent place for a Maori tattoo was the face, probably a result of the cool New Zealand climate. Maori tattoos are among the most distinctive tattoos in the world and have their own identity amongst the Polynesian tattoos. Tattooing is a sacred art among the Maori people of New Zealand, and probably came to them from the islands of East Polynesia. Maori tattooing would usually start at adolescence, and was used to celebrate important events throughout life. The first tattoo marks the transition from childhood to adulthood and was done during a series of rites and rituals. Tattoo art was an important part of the Maori culture. In fact, people without tattoos were considered to be without status or worth. The process of Maori tattooing was a ritual, with music, chant and fasting. Since the 1990s the Maori culture and traditions are having a revival and the traditional Maori tattooing is all but extinct, Maori tattoos have made a comeback and are popular again, including the old tattoo equipment like chisels.
cross design tattoo
Here we have a clean and simple, and recently tattooed, Gothic iron cross tattoo. Many tattoo crosses can have a clutter and other images mixed up with them but I tend to admire the cleanliness of this one. This simple cross is basic to the Gothic Iron Cross but is rendered in a thick-and-thin beveled line that lends itself well to the tattoo medium. The stark simplicity is its most memorable attribute. It is also meant to stand for a dagger of a type, a dagger for God’s work if you will, and that is why it has a point at its bottom.
This is a very sharp looking gothic cross and I like it very much. I am the type of person who likes very slick, clean lines and for me the simpler something is, the better. If I were out and about and looking to get myself any kind of cross tattoo put on myself this is exactly what I would get. Because after seeing all of the tattoo crosses I have seen, and believe me, I have seen a lot of them, this one is what appeals to me the most.

This is a whole selection of different tattoo crosses. The style that a person may be interested in depends on their personality and the meaning they attribute to the designs. Since their are so many tattoo crosses to choose from, let me give you a rundown of the two most popular ones. It’s a good starting point for your research. The Latin Cross is highly recognizable in the world of tattoos, as it is comprised of a vertical line intersected at right angles by a shorter horizontal line positioned around 1/3 of the way from the top. This uncomplicated design is often associated with Christianity and is frequently used to pay tribute to others. One of the most attractively designed crosses is the Celtic selection, where a knot is created in the space where both lines cross. The Gothic Cross mirrors the German style of elaborate wrought iron work displayed during the Edwardian and Victorian periods. This type of cross is often used to express pain, anger, and the Goth culture. Many designs associated with the Gothic Cross utilize dark imagery, such as barbed wire and daggers. Now, that you have a little background you can do a search on the internet and see if those are the designs you like and maybe even find a few more.
design tattoos parlours

Guidelines for Choosing the Best Tattoo Parlors
If you were going to invest in a piece of art, would you feel better about buying it from an accredited gallery which could prove it was authentic, or from someone selling it from the trunk of their car?
So think of the tattoo you are about to get as a piece of art, because that’s what it should be. Tattoos are one of the most ancient forms of body art, for which you will be providing the canvas. And because tattoos have soared in popularity over the past decade, there is no shortage of tattoo “studios” more than willing to practice their artistry on you. How do you separate the best tattoo parlors from the rest?
Let me confess. I have, for years, indulged in oil painting as a hobby. I have an easel, brushes, a palette, paints and mediums too numerous to count, palette knives, and even a smock. I have won a few awards in amateur competitions, and even sold a few pieces of my work. Does that make me a professional artist?
No more than owning inks, needles, designs, and renting a store space makes someone a professional tattoo artist. Before you decide to patronize a particular tattoo parlor, learn what a successful parlor should look like. If the one you are considering doesn’t measure up, take your money, and your canvas, elsewhere.
